Vehicles

Hadley loves vehicles.  Any and all!  Trains, planes, helicopters, fire engines, busses, tractors, you name it, she's a fan!  This past Spring we decided to take advantage of living so close to an airport (Vacaville has a very small one, used for private planes) and stopped by to watch the planes land and take off. Hadley LOVED it.  It quickly became a weekly tradition to get lunch at a drive-thru and have a picnic in the car at the airport.

 We spotted this cool yellow fire engine at the outlets. She gets so excited and usually spots them before we do!

One Sunday afternoon in May, we decided to take a picnic dinner to the airport. We made some 7-layer bean dip and had quite a lovely spread.  It was so much fun.  It was a simple, spontaneous activity and those are oftentimes the best in my opinion.  We only saw a couple planes land and I don't think any took off while we were there, Sunday nights are quiet there, but it was a great night.
