Averett: Sugar and Spice

I realized I shared this on Instagram and FB but never here, my bad! Lets chalk it up to pregnancy brain which I have found is a very real thing.

We are thrilled to be having a girl and though we don't have a name picked out (it's tough!) Tim refers to her as sweet baby girl. We are already in love with her! As she grows (and she has, meaning so have I!) I feel her movements and kicks and it is so amazing! She is not super active but there are moments where I feel her a lot and it's usually when I am laying down and trying to relax, like bedtime! Sleep has been getting tougher and I wake up a lot tossing and turning. Thankfully I got one of those pregnancy body pillows that prevents me from rolling over but supports my stomach and back, it is awesome and helper get much more restful sleep. Let's just say that rested-Amy is a happy-Amy :) (those pregnancy emotional roller coasters are a real thing too!). Despite these side-effects of pregnancy, I must say that I am really enjoying this pregnancy. Morning sickness literally vanished at the 2nd trimester, I have lots of energy, I love feeling the baby move, and she's growing!

I have started nesting like crazy and love it! For the first few months I was always so tired and had zero energy that I did not want to do anything. I mean, folding the laundry would wipe me out. I kept telling Tim that hopefully the nesting phase was real and would happen. I hoped I would want to clean, organize, and cook again! I can happily report that our house is more organized than it has ever been since we moved in over a year ago! Besides cleaning and organizing for fun, we have been doing a few furniture refinishing projects that I will share soon! I just have this itch to be creative so I figure I better chase that feeling especially while I have the time and energy!

In an effort to catch up, here are a couple more belly shots. We are not good at getting weekly photos but at least we get one every other!
