The FFA and other news.

Here is the latest from our neck of the woods (in no particular order):
-It's been raining all day and while I like the cozy part of it, there is a particular chill in the air that makes it feel exceptionally cold.
-We are dreaming of a white Thanksgiving.
-Tim has been driving A LOT for work; I did the math today just because I was curious and this week alone was over 1,000 miles.
-We love homemade pesto (Jenni, we would love a copy of your recipe!)
-Today's sub job was a high school FFA (Future Farmers of America) Ag class as well as a floral design class. Not sure which one I liked more but I will say that giving high school students free reign to spray paint and use glue guns is kinda scary. They did surprisingly well but I honestly was a nervous wreck!
-Today a student asked if I had a bump-it in my hair. I laughed and then asked if he was serious. I will admit that for half a second, I considered changing my hairstyle.  (There are plenty of other ridiculous stories like the one with floral wire or hang-man.  I have realized that some high-schoolers are just overgrown middle-schoolers.  Or at least they act like such.)

-Book club was last night and we discussed Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. The discussion was great, I got to meet some wonderful ladies, and my friend hosted in her apartment that is decked out like a winter wonderland. Fun times.
-Candy cane Joe-Joes are in season at Trader Joe's and they are absolutely delicious. We love them lots and they make us feel vegan . . . because they are vegan (Too bad they have lots of sugar too. They are the cause of many "sugar tallies" on my list!)

-Last night we were browsing blackfriday.com to check out the upcoming deals.  We like to find the good movie and game deals.  There are some sweet savings if you plan to brave the crowds.
-Even though it does not literally warm the room, there is something wonderfully cozy about having a Yule log flickering on the TV screen. We have enjoyed it quite a bit lately. Christmas music in the background tops it off.

-We are loving our new place. The city is great, the people are so nice, and we are grateful and happy to be here. Did we mention the outlet mall and Fenton's too?! Yeah, they're real close. :)
